HUNTERSVILLE, NC (Skybrook Golf Club) —

On behalf of the entire staff, I would like to thank everyone that participated in this year’s Member-Member Championship. We hosted 80 members competing to be major champions.

After the completion of Sunday’s shootout, we crowned this year’s champions, Jordan Maves and Chad Badger. Member credits have been applied to all the winners’ accounts and you can now use those credits for golf shop merchandise.

If you are interested in signing up for a major, you must have a 6-Month LHI (Low Handicap Index). In order for GHIN to calculate a proper 6-Month LHI, you also must have posted 10 scores in the last 12 months.

HUNTERSVILLE, NC (Skybrook Golf Club) —

On Friday, April 5th, over 70 members took place in the annual Divot Filling Party. Filling the divots during the early growing season is extremely helpful as it provides the turf with a good foundation to start the growing season. This support and commitment from the membership shows what an amazing group of members we have at Skybrook. On behalf of the club, staff, and ownership group I would like to thank all the members that took place in this special event.

HUNTERSVILLE, NC (Skybrook Golf Club) —

During the winter months the club was able to make improvements to the club house and golf course. While we were able to renovate the golf shop and locker rooms, the largest project we undertook was the renovation of the bunkers. Dino and his staff did a fantastic job repairing all the bunkers on the property. The club would like to take this opportunity to thank the entire golf course maintenance staff for their hard work in making this project successful.

The golf shop renovation is almost complete! Last month the club was able to paint the shop and add new granite countertops. Thank you for your support and understanding while we were working from the card room. We have several projects remaining before the renovation is complete but are excited to be back and open for business in the shop. With the new look we are adding new brands such as Johnnie-O, NexBelt, Turlteson, and CertiFresh cigars. Make sure to stop by the shop to see the new collections.

During the month of February, the golf shop will be undergoing renovation. Our plan is to update the shop to the modern color scheme as the rest of the facility. We are hoping to have this project completed by March 1st and are looking forward to having the entire club house renovation finished. During this time the golf shop will be in the card room and will operate as usual. Thank you for your continued support as we work hard to make Skybrook best in class in the Charlotte area.

As the cooler weather starts to roll in, we are starting to see this year come to an end. It is with great pleasure to tell you the 2023 season set a record number of rounds played even surpassing last year. With daylight savings coming to an end, the golf shop and grill have converted to its Winter hours of operation. The golf shop will open at 7:00am and close at 5:00pm seven days a week. The SkyTop Grill will open at 10:00am daily and close at 6:00pm except for Friday where closing time will be at 9:00pm. Thank you for your continued support.
